Our building is a retired bank. It was constructed in the late 1800's (finished in 1899). Story has it that the "cigar barrons" of Red Lion needed a bank worthy of storing their funds. The bank was of magnificent construction; a grand lobby with "taller than a giant" ceilings, hand-crafted trimmings, a second-floor balcony, plenty of office space, and an expansive basement for storage. The building remained a bank for over 100 years. During the "war scares" of the middle and late 1900's, the building was designated as a "fallout shelter". The old radioactive caution signs are still on the building (one by the front entrance and another near our main office). When we moved into the building, we found rations in the basement dating back to the 1960's. Among the rations were crackers, toiletries, and medicines. One of the biggest standouts in our school is the vault. The old bank vault is on the main floor. The door to the vault is massive, easily weighing several tons. With such an awesome building for a training dojo, it is our goal to bring the best. Martial Arts we can find in the world into this space. We have quickly achieved our goal and welcome any persons interested in the depth of Martial Arts. We have a secondary training area that we call the Dragon Room. This room is surrounded with mirrors and allows us to individually train our students or split classes. Our kids in particular seem to love this training room. We encourage our students and parents to make our dojo their home when they are here. All of our instructors are very approachable and egos are unacceptable. We have a store, plenty of seating area for parents and students, a second-floor balcony, and a movie room with a big-screen digital television. In the lower floors, we have men's and women's locker rooms and bathrooms. We are always happy to give new students and parents a tour so they can see the building.
